SAVANNAH, Georgia — Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. recently made the 100th customer delivery of its G280 aircraft. It will be based in the U.S.

The fleet, which includes operators on five continents, has proven itself through high reliability and excellent performance.”

 

The G280 entered service Nov. 14, 2012. With a range of 3,600 nautical miles/6,667 kilometers at Mach 0.80, the aircraft can fly eight hours nonstop at Mach 0.80, which means it can link New York or Chicago with Western Europe or London with Dubai.  It is equipped with two Honeywell HTF7250G engines, each of which provides 7,624 pounds of thrust. The engines can propel the G280 to a flight level of 43,000 feet/13,106 meters in approximately 20 minutes and feature reduced emissions, longer maintenance intervals and decreased noise levels.

 

The aircraft’s already impressive performance was given a boost in August 2015 with an avionics software upgrade that results in slower approach speeds, shorter landing distances and enhanced flight management system performance.

 

The G280’s cabin includes the Gulfstream-designed cabin management and high-definition entertainment systems, industry-leading cabin sound levels, 19 super-sized windows and in-flight access to the baggage compartment.

 

Standard features on the G280 include autothrottle, autobrakes, cabin sound proofing, a galley sink, enhanced map overlays, LED navigation lights, logo lighting and a collapsible towbar. Available options on the G280 include the Head-Up Display and Enhanced Vision System as part of the cutting-edge PlaneView280 flight deck.

 

The G280 is certified in the United States, Aruba, Azerbaijan, Brazil, Canada, Cayman Islands, China, the European Union, Isle of Man, Israel, Mexico, Morocco, Poland, Taiwan and Thailand. The G280 fleet has more than 70,500 flight hours and 43,000 landings recorded by operators. The fleet-leading operator has flown the aircraft more than 2,250 hours.
