Position Summary
The Accountant (Accounting & Treasury) will be responsible for key accounting functions related to the general ledger, fixed assets, and treasury operations. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as a passion for leveraging technology to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage monthly and annual close, including journal entries and intercompany reconciliations
- Oversee fixed assets and lease accounting, ensuring accurate records and system maintenance
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with timely follow-ups
- Prepare GST returns, statutory filings, and support corporate tax compliance
- Perform variance analysis and periodic reporting to Head Office
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, local regulations, Group policies, and SOX requirements
- Support internal and external audits
- Drive process improvements, automation, and system enhancements
- Prepare Currency Exposure Reports
- Undertake quarterly reporting to the ultimate parent entity on treasury matters
- Manage currency rate updates for the APAC region
- Assist with Cashflow forecasting for the APAC region
- Assist with the administration of bank accounts and corporate credit cards across the APAC region
- Assist in the preparation, submission, and follow-up of Refundable Investment Credit (RIC) claims in compliance with Singapore regulatory requirements.
- Assist with any other ad hoc duties as assigned by the Finance Manager or the Director of Accounting and Shared Services
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
- CA or progress towards CA certification preferred
- 3 years of experience in accounting
- Proficiency in SAP is an advantage
- Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, vlookups)
