Overview

  • Review, analyze, and negotiate contractual terms and conditions in support of defense-related contracts, subcontracts, modifications, and other agreements
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal acquisition requirements, including FAR, DFARS, and agency-specific clauses
  • Identify, assess, and communicate contractual risks and recommend mitigation strategies to legal, compliance, and business stakeholders
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on contract terms interpretation, flow-down requirements, and regulatory compliance
  • Collaborate closely with legal counsel and procurement
  • Monitor regulatory changes impacting defense contracts and advise leadership on required updates
  • Assist with internal training related to federal contracting requirements

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in business, law, supply chain, or finance
  • Ability to interpret complex regulatory and contractual language
  • Experience working cross-functionally in a regulated environment
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel)
  • Applicant must possess or be able to secure secret or higher DOD clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 - 9 years of demonstrated contract experience such as Contract Management, Compliance/Regulatory Experience
  • Familiarity with government proposal and subcontract management processes
  • Experience reviewing and negotiating terms and conditions in a defense or federal contracting environment
  • Knowledge of International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR), Export Administration Regulation (EAR), Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and other import/export regulations
