Overview

This candidate will support coordination of a unified demand signal for Operations to meet the Groton Operations Hiring and Resource Plan. The demand signal prompts Operations to achieve the Manning Plan with collaboration between Talent Acquisition, Training, and other applicable departments. This candidate will be responsible for forecasting and deployment of resources in an analytical and efficient manner across the shipyard, to support all production programs. This position requires a highly motivated self-starter, ability to adapt processes, first time data quality and tracking, ready to work in a fast-paced production environment to support Operations. This position will report directly to the Chief of Resource Management in Groton.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaboration with Training and Talent Acquisition on employee onboarding schedule and successfully onboard employees
  • Support Operations with assignment of EB new hire placements to balance experience & shift distribution
  • Ensuring employees are accurately represented in business system
  • Proactively working with Operations to identify future requirements for fundamental and critical skills to meet business needs.
  • Support the movement of resources based on business need

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years with resource planning or in the EB program office

Preferred:

  • 1+ year partnering with Groton Operations
  • 1+ years experience with Groton Shipyard resource and program structure
  • Strong understanding of Groton onboarding processs
  • Electric Boat shipyard experience
